3 Amigos

This past weekend Allan and I got together with some friends that I used to work with. Tiffany, Micah and I all got pregnant around the same time, so it was a good chance to get the boys together to play, since they don't live in Houston anymore. We went to lunch and then came back to my house to let the boys go wild in the game room. They all had a good time together and we girls enjoyed seeing each other.
All the kids seem to love the drums.

Here's Melinda showing them how it works.
Always the way to a kid's heart is with food.
There's Tanya, being a kid too.
Landon and Cale being good boys at the restaurant.
(Right before Landon decided to make his mommy chase him around the table over and over again.)
Micah trying to hold 2 boys at one time. Not an easy task.
One at a time is much easier.
Cale and Tanya
Cale and Tiff.
What is it about pushing buttons on the TV?
Meet Cale. This is Micah's little man. He's the oldest out of the bunch (only by 2 weeks). He'll be 2 in June.

Meet Landon. This is Tiffany's little man. He turns 2 just two weeks after Cale.
Landon & Tiffany. Me & Allan. Micah & Cale.
(Melinda and Tanya left before we remembered to get a group picture. Guess we'll just have to get together again sooner!)

Meet Eric.

This is Eric, the last of my bunch during the day. He's almost 14 months old and not quite walking yet. He has a sweet personality and gets along well with Allan and Jayden. Allan and Jayden are a little rougher than Eric. He kind of sits back and watches them, taking it all in. But I think he is starting to warm up to the boys. He's crawling over to them to see what they are doing more often. And he's started "talking" back and forth with Allan and Jayden. Three boys around the same age is a handful, but nothing I can't handle. Lunches are interesting and take me a while, but I'm getting a system down. I do have to say, bless nap times when they get here.

Eric loves his blanket!

The 3 of them think banging on the drum is so fun.
Allan and Jayden have become really good buds.

He's Going to be a Musician!

While at Mimi's and Papa's Christmas day, cousin Ryan showed Allan the wonderful world of Mimi's piano. Allan couldn't get enough of it. I'm sure he could have sat there for hours and hours and played if we let him.

More Pictures!

I've been away from my blog too long. There's so much to tell and so many pictures to show!
My little boy is getting way too big way too fast!
He's in love with this *new* toy I just brought out. (It's nice and noisy.)

This is the view I get to see when I sit on the couch and Allan just HAS to have something.

Again, loving his horse!

Happy New Years!

Hope you all had a wonderful New Years! We had a yummy dinner with Kirk's parents. Allan got to stay up late...10:00! Then off to bed and wine time for mommy and daddy. Very chill New Years Eve for us.
Bring on 2009!

Meet Jayden.

This is Jayden, one of the kiddos I'm watching during the day. He's a very well tempered kid. He gets along great with Allan. Allan is still trying to work on the whole sharing thing, but we'll get there...one day.
Jayden already knows how to get on the couch by himself. Allan is dying to learn this *trick* and it frustrates him so bad when Jayden's on the couch and he can't get up there. He needs just a little bit of help and he can do it.

These two are addicted to SpongeBob SquarePants! I have to admit, it's an entertaining cartoon, especially considering the other cartoons out there. It's strange, but entertaining and the boys love it...especially when I sing the beginning of the show's song.

OK, this is totally cute and I have been trying to get it on film for days now. Jayden is a big time "binkie" user. He has to have it all the time. Allan knows what a "binkie" is because he still sleeps with one. I've taught him that it's Jayden's "binkie" and not his. I didn't want him putting it in his mouth or anything. Now every time Allan sees it on the floor he thinks it's his job to take the "binkie" and give it to Jayden. Jayden, or course, happily takes the "binkie."

Merry Christmas!

I've been too busy to post pictures because of several different reasons. So much has happened! First, the weekend before Christmas, Kirk fell off a ladder and broke his right leg. We found out at the hospital that he had broken his right leg, just below the knee, and he had severally sprained both of his ankles. Needless to say, he couldn't walk very well for the next week. Lucky for him, it was not a "bad" brake. No surgery needed and no cast needed. Christmas was hard for him. He had to lay around on the couch while the rest of us were moving from room to room. Things are going a lot better now. He's back at work full time, although he still can't drive. He seems to be healing quite well.

As for Christmas, The Hamilton family got completely spoiled by everyone! We are so very grateful to have the loving family we have. One of the other reasons I was behind on my updates is because my wonderful parents bought us a new computer! I've been taking some time getting this new one just the way I want it, plus getting all my pictures moved onto this one has taken some time. But I'm finally there! Allan got a ton of toys to play with for Christmas! The boy definitely has no reason to get bored in his game room.

And the last reason I've been a little preoccupied is because I have started my own in home daycare. Nothing big. I'm just bringing in 2 other boys to take care of during the day. The first one, Jayden started the week of Christmas. He's a little older than Allan. He's right around 18 months. He and Allan seem to play really well together. Sometimes Allan has his moments with *his* toys, but we're working on that. That's one of the main reasons I wanted to bring in some other kids into the house. I want Allan to be around kids his age and get that interaction that he needs. The other little boy is a younger boy, named Eric. He's about 13 months and not quite walking yet. He starts coming here Monday. Jayden has a really easy going personality and Eric seems to be the same way. All the boys should get along really well. I'll be posting some *buddy* pictures soon.

Enjoy our Christmas pictures!
It was very hard for Allan to sit still and open presents, but he tried...for about 1/2 a second.

He was into his new shoes.

He loves his new cell phone!

I got some really nice things too!

Daddy got a cool new kitchen toy!

What better to go with Christmas than some yummy vodka?Broken Kirk with Baby Ashtyn.

Papa's gonna show Allan all about his new toy...

Ryan just couldn't wait to open presents. He didn't care who they were for, he was just ready to tear them apart!

Look at those precious cheeks!
