Park Time!

These two cuties love going to the park together.
Maegan is Allan's "partner in crime."
I love it when she is dressed in pink from head to toe (with a tutu, of course).
She's so stinkin' cute!

I've been playing with my Photoshop (love it!!) and learning to add effects.
Can you tell these two get along really well?

I think it was about this time when Allan was over the whole posing and taking pictures for me.
At one point when I ask him to take one more picture and then he can get back to playing, he sighs and informs me that I am giving him a headache.
One day he'll thank me for all the pictures I took of his first kiss...

If we're somewhere and Allan finds acorns, that's it.
He'll spend the rest of the time collecting them, putting them in and out of his pocket, and laying them all out so he can admire his collection.
My little man was sweet enough to take time out of his park play and acorn collecting and pick a "flower" and bring it to me.  That's OK that it's a broken leaf.  It was still a sweet thought to think of me...even after I had given him a headache.

These slide pictures are some of my favorites.
I love the smiles.

Houston Cougars

Allan's G.G. and Paw were cool enough to include us in their season tickets to the U of H football games.
(Thanks a bunch G.G. & Paw!!)

Allan definitely enjoys the games!
Great seats.  Great games.
How could he not enjoy it?

Paw and Daddy are trying to explain the game to him.
I think he understands.

(can you tell my kid gets tired of my taking pictures?  One day he'll thank me...)

Birthday Boy

My "baby" turned 3 on the 21st.  He was excited.  I was a little sad.
He's growing way too fast.  It feels like it was just last week that he wasn't even talking.  Or walking.  Or using the big boy potty.  Or feeding himself.  Or....being so independent.

We had a party at our house for little man.

The moonwalk was a hit.
I think I might have to convince Kirk into letting me buy one of those things....
How cool would it be to have your own moonwalk and jump any time you want??
Allan played so hard...all day long.
This is what he looked like the entire time.  Red, sweaty and sticky.
He was a mess!
My first attempt at hamburger patties.
I got made fun of because they came out more like hamburger sliders.  I didn't know about the different fatty meats, and the shrinking they would do.  Geesh.  But hey, at least they had good flavor and tasted yummy.
Allan didn't seem to mind.
(Yes, my child tends to cut up his Cheese Puffs.  I guess he doesn't want to take any choking chances.)

My homemade cupcake cones were a hit!!
Allan (and everyone else) had several helpings.
And they were quite tasty, if I do say so myself.

Allan made out in the toy department!!
He got tons of new goodies that have been keeping him very occupied.
Mimi & Grandma

All in all, I think Allan's 3rd birthday was a success!
