My Allie & My Allan

Allie was my first love. My first child before an actual child.
Allie went to live on a farm far far away. OK, not actually a farm, but my parent's house. And not really far far away, but just in Kemah.
I miss her bunches and love her lots!
I find it strange, yet very comforting in the bond that Allie and Allan have. Out of the 10,000 (actually just 7) dogs that my mom has, Allan is drawn to Neener (my nick-name for her) the most.
And she loves him just as much as he loves her.
When Allan talks about visiting Mimi and Papa he always mentions "Neener" too.

(No, I didn't purposely give them similar names.)

FOUR!

Finally the weather has been pretty and comfy enough to play a little golf.

Allan didn't mind showing off his toy to the neighbor kids.

(just messing with the colors)

He may look calm here, but don't let the grin fool you. I don't think Allan's going to be a professional golfer. He gets very frustrated with the game when the ball doesn't go his way...very quickly.

Dino-Rific

During our trip to Austin, we took Allan to a dinosaur park with real life size dinos!

LOOK OUT DADDY!!

Allan wasn't the only one impressed with the statues!

Could it be a real dinosaur foot print???

Allan wanted so badly to touch all the dinosaurs.

He fell on the gravel path at one point...

...and for the rest of the weekend he told us that his "owie" was from a dinosaur bite.

Yes, people, this is actually a replica of some dinosaur poop.

He thought he was pretty cool being that close to the dinosaur.

Scared of this guy? Not my son.
Allan and a baby dinosaur hatching from an egg.

After the dinosaurs it was time to dig for fossils.

After the dinosaur trail, there was a playground to let the kids wear out some of that energy before getting back into the car.
