Just A Normal Dinner Out

It wouldn't be a dinner out if Allan didn't put the food basket on his head.

Guitar Hero

Allan thinks he knows how to jam on Daddy's PlayStation guitar.
It's the little things that excite him.

SplashPad

Last Sunday Kirk and I took Allan to our neighborhood SplashPad for the first time this summer. Shame on us, we should have been going there since summer (the heat wave) hit. Allan had a blast. He couldn't get enough of the place and all the different fun things that had water shooting out of them. We met some friends there and they brought their little boy, Dane. The boys played hard for a good 2 hours. When the time came, Allan was not ready to leave and not very happy with us...even though he was hours past his normal nap time. Looks like Kirk and I will probably be taking Allan back to the SplashPad this weekend!

This boat slide was a hit with both the boys. This is pretty much where we spent most of our time.

It was hard to the kids to understand to wait up top before their turn to slide down. Allan was involved in a few crashed...but that didn't faze him one bit.

Ready? Set...
GO!!!

Dane was going to show Allan how this worked.
By spraying Allan, of course.
I don't think Allan seemed to mind one bit.

Cousins

This weekend Allan's cousins stopped by. Ryan didn't stay long enough to get in the pictures, but Allan and Ashtyn got to have some playtime together. He's getting better about playing with littler kids. (Ashtyn is about 6 days younger than the little girl I watch during the day.)
(I'm loving this "CHEESE" face he does when he sees the camera now.)

Miss Ashtyn is almost 10 months.

Out to Dinner

Last week we went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant. Allan was hungry and not enjoying having to wait for the food. So what do Kirk and I do to make him happy? Give him straws!!

(hey, whatever works, right?)
